- Make a point on modelling in food science
We plan to review the state of the art in the field, over three main axes: the link between food processing and food structure, the eco-design of food production, and software available to practitioners.
- Address case studies
Action participants will discuss and propose real-world problems arising from industry or from shared interest, ultimately proving how modelling can be extremely beneficial for the field of food science.

Description
FoodMC is the acronym of a COST Action, identified by the code CA15118, whose full title is "Mathematical and Computer Science Methods for Food Science and Industry".
What is a COST Action ?
- It's a project by the agency COoperation in Science and Technology
COST is the longest-running European framework, supporting trans-national cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars across Europe. They receive funding from H2020, and their projects are called Actions. For more information, see the relative section on the COST website.
- Principles of COST Actions
COST funds networking projects called Actions, that cover a 4-year period. COST Actions can organize and provide funding for meetings, conferences, and short-term scientific missions, with the objective to create a community around emerging topics. For more information, see the relative section on the COST website.
