Powders and Grains - 8th International Conference on Micromechanics of Granular Media (July 3-7, 2017 - Montpellier, France)

Since 1989, the Powders and Grains Conference is held every four years with the goal of providing an up-to-date picture of the broad research field of powders, grains, and granular media.
Based on the topics covered in previous conferences, and considering key emerging areas, the conference themes include granular solids, granular flows, granular gas, constitutive modeling, particle properties, cohesive materials, and applications to geomaterials and constructions, biomaterials and life-sciences, soil-root/plant interactions, reactive powders, geological scale modeling, pharmaceuticals, nano-granular materials, granular suspensions and colloids.
Granular-related abstracts on all above research themes are welcome.

The Powders and Grains conference is traditionally organized as a single plenary session (no parallel sessions) composed of keynote lectures by internationally renowned researchers, contributed talks and extensive poster sessions.

The poster sessions will continue the whole week.

Three best posters will be selected during the first three days for a prize awarded during Gala dinner.

A video prize will be awarded as well.

The instructions for video submission will be announced soon on the conference website.

As in previous editions, the conference proceedings will be published as ISI-referenced online papers (Follow the link for the papers of Powders and Grains 2013  held in Sydney).
